The Carson Mall will be the site of the annual Nevada Women’s Expo Harvest Festival and Farmers Market on Friday and Saturday.
The event, a free consumer show for women of all ages, offers hundreds of exhibitors, products, services and information about new companies and local resources.
The expo will open at 3 p.m. Friday. A ribbon-cutting with Mayor Bob Crowell and Miss Carson City Macie Tuell will be at 5. Registration for the Miss Pin-Up Contest will be from 6 to 7. A sock hop dance with the Retro Radio Dolls will be at 7 and the pin-up contest will start at 7:30 with judging at 7:45. The dance will continue until the event closes at 9.
On Saturday, the event will open at 8 a.m. with the Dayton Kiwanis Club Fundraiser Pancake Breakfast. Registration for a classic car show will open at 8 for the show at 9 a.m. Vendor booths and the Haunted Hallway will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Car show judging will be at 11 a.m., the same time the Carson Victory Roller Girls and Miss Carson City will be featured. The car show will end at 1 and the event will wrap up at 5.
Information about the ESL In-Home Program, a one-on-one tutoring program at no cost to adults, will be offered from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
