The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is requesting public assistance in identifying a suspicious subject who was found inside Carson High School.
On Aug. 1 shortly before 3:30 p.m., staff members from CHS were watching surveillance cameras showing areas inside of the high school. The staff members noticed an unknown subject walking around in the school. Staff members stated since school wasn’t in session, no one should have been in the school.
High school staff attempted to contact the subject. Once they made contact with the male, he told the staff he was “reminiscing.” The male then refused to identify himself and instead stated he could go anywhere he wanted because he was a “taxpayer.” The male then left the school and drove away.
At this time the Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in identifying the male.
The Sheriff’s Office doesn’t know of any threat against any staff or students at the school.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Detective Morgan Tucker at (775) 283-7858 or Capt. Brian Humphrey at 775-283-7850. You can also contact the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 775-887-2677.
