The Sierra Nevada Forums event scheduled for Sept. 11 is centering on “Workforce Affordable Housing: Who Can’t Afford to Live in Carson City?”
The free event at 6 p.m. at the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall, 511 W. King St., will detail why people may be giving up trying to find affordable places to rent in Carson City.
“You’d be surprised at who is being pushed out of the housing market — like teachers, firemen, manicurists, college-educated young adults! Join us to learn the facts on how people are giving up trying to find affordable places to rent here. We need to work together to make Carson City a place where all of us can live affordably,” an event flyer said.
