Local author Suzette McCusker’s new book, “Just Imagine Alice,” was originally brought to life as a bedtime story for her two children, who happen to be the main characters.
In the book, Alice Blair has a problem: Her family is moving away from the only home she’s ever known, and she’s not happy about it.
She quickly becomes distracted from her big problem when she notices something strange is going on with the children in her new hometown of Springland. Although she tries to ignore it, an unavoidable event forces her to discover what that “something” is.
The author recently relocated to Fallon with her husband of 24 years, Jeff McCusker, and their daughter, Alice, after living in Sparks/Spanish Springs for more than 30 years. Their son, Jeffrey, still resides in Reno.
Now that daily life is a little slower, Suzette has focused on writing and publishing her children’s picture book series “Just Imagine Alice.”
Book readings and signings are planned in the coming months.
The first will take place at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 15 at His Inspirations, 200 S. Maine St., Fallon.
