The date for pork couldn’t be verified; the pork was discarded on site. Floors, walls and/or ceilings were dirty. The floor and surfaces of line equipment needed to be cleaned.

Papa Murphy’s Pizza, 4314 S. Carson St., score: 2, grade: A. Potentially hazardous food was being held at temperatures that support micoorganism growth. Potentially hazardous food intended for cold holding was found at 47 degrees or above. The inspector found food at 53 degrees.

The Union, brewery and restaurant, 302 N. Carson St., score: 2, grade: A. Ready-to-eat potentially hazardous food wasn’t correctly date marked. Floors, walls or ceilings were dirty.

McDonald’s, 3905 S. Carson St., score: 6, grade: A. Employees weren’t washing their hands as often as necessary to prevent contamination, particularly after switching between gloves for prepared food and gloves for raw meat. The hand-wash sinks weren’t supplied with soap, disposable towels or an approved drying device. A sink was installed without approval from the health authority. Ready-to-eat potentially hazardous food wasn’t date marked. Sauces for burgers and other sandwiches weren’t labeled, and they were being stored on a tray that was covered in old sauce. Floors, walls and/or ceilings were dirty. The floor under the line equipment needed to be cleaned.

San Marcos Grill, 260 E. Winnie Lane, score: 7, grade: A. The hand-wash sink couldn’t be easily accessed. Food preparation sinks or ware-washing sinks were being used for washing hands. Nonfood-contact surfaces were dirty. Food debris was found between kitchen line equipment.
