Pioneer High School students had plenty of opportunities to participate in new and important experiences when they attended the Career and Development Conference in Reno.
On March 16, students competed in the first Region 1 Career and Development Conference. Jobs for America’s Graduates puts on a state conference in Las Vegas every year. However, this year the JAG specialist from Washoe, Carson, and Douglas wanted to do something special for all of the Northern Nevada students.
This regional conference provided opportunities for students to compete in events that demonstrate interview skills and decision-making. They could also participate in workshops where they could learn things like how to buy a car or why courage is important in leadership. The PHS students who attended did an amazing job, and they’re looking forward to the state conference in Las Vegas.
