Spanish Springs banged out 16 hits on its way to a 16-4 win over the Carson High baseball team on Tuesday at Ron McNutt Field.
The Cougars broke the game open when they scored nine runs in the third inning to take a 15-0 lead. Carson scored three runs in the bottom of the third, with singles by Kahle Good and Garritt Benavidez sparking the rally. Benavidez went 2-for-3 for the Senators.
