Ideas on Tap on Wednesday will look at “Brain Drain” and what to do to retain the best and brightest in Carson City. The panel to discuss the topic is Jonathan Crawford, manager, Nevada JobConnect; Dr. Jose Delfin, associate superintendent, Carson City School District; Adriana Fralick, Carson City deputy city manager; and Bradley Harris, a human resources consultant. “This topic should promote a sense of awareness, as we concentrate on retention, connection, training and attraction, not necessarily in that order,” said Mike Smith, Ideas on Tap organizer. “For Carson City to flourish, and compete with comparable cities of its size we must have a workforce development that will focus on the aforementioned including community development, and entrepreneurial startup growth.” The public discussion group will meet 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Union Eatery and Taphouse, 302 N. Carson St.
