The Carson City School District is seeking parent and family feedback through an online 10-question survey. Available in English or Spanish, the survey can be completed using a desktop computer or mobile device.
Understanding that not everyone has a personal computer or mobile device with Internet, the school district said it will provide access for parents and family members to take the survey at individual schools during parent conferences or other events and activities. Additionally, flyers and marketing materials will be distributed through grade-school take-home folders (PeeChees) and through QR codes on business cards at middle and high school events.
As part of the school district’s Strategic Plan, Goal 3 (Engaged Parents and Families), the district is seeking to empower and inspire families to positively impact their child’s education in a welcoming, informative and collaborative school culture. Part of that includes Strategy 3.1.1: Assess the effectiveness of shared responsibility for student success using an annual survey.
The district asks the community to take the time to offer input. The school district emphasized all feedback will play an important role in supporting student achievement and contributing to student and school success.
The online survey is open from through April 1. Community feedback is valuable, and the Carson City School District hopes that parents and guardians will take a few moments to participate.
