Nevada’s Division of Environmental Protection has been awarded $1 million to provide technical assistance for drinking water systems in the state.

A spokesman said drinking water systems across the nation face increasing challenges in making the delivery of water safe and reliable because of aging infrastructure and staff turnover.

The division is seeking proposals for a contract to provide technical, managerial and financial training and guidance. The spokesman said the notice of the proposal is available at the division’s website at http://ndep.nv.gov.
