The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
FRIDAY
At 9:35 p.m., a 32-year-old union representative was arrested on a warrant out of the Walker River Township after deputies responded to a report of a car crash at Musser and Curry streets. Bail was set at $160.
At 6:35 p.m., Michelle McKnight, 37, was arrested at a residence on West Caroline Street on suspicion of burglary and possession of a controlled substance. She was also arrested on suspicion of possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and a Douglas County warrant on suspicion of theft. Total bail was set at $17,000.
At 10:23 p.m., Kyle Zemp, 28, was arrested at the Maverick on Highway 50 after a deputy recognized him as a person with outstanding felony warrants. He was arrested on suspicion of two counts of obtaining money by false pretenses and one of violating suspended sentence conditions. Bail was set at $41,000.
SATURDAY
At 2:33 a.m., an 18-year-old Dayton woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-1st alcohol and as a minor consuming after a traffic stop at Highway 50 and Airport Road for a burned out tail light. Bail was set at $1,200.
At 9:04 a.m., a 48-year-old mechanic was arrested on suspicion of DUI-1st alcohol after a traffic stop for running a red light at Washington and Carson streets. He was also arrested on suspicion of no proof of insurance. Bail was set at $1,650.
At 12:15 p.m., a 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after deputies responded to an apartment on Como Street for a report of people yelling. In addition, a 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of obstructing for refusing to give deputies ID. Her bail was set at $3,000. His bail was set at $300.
At 7:29 p.m., a 23-year-old was arrested after a traffic stop at South Carson Street and Highway 50 for a suspended registration. He was also arrested on suspicion of no proof of insurance and driving while his license was suspended for a DUI. Bail was set at $1,650.
At 8:18 p.m., a 26-year-old woman was arrested after a traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign and nearly backing into the deputy’s patrol vehicle in a parking lot on Winnie Lane. She was also arrested on suspicion of DUI 2nd alcohol, failure to exercise due care and violating pretrial release conditions. Bail was set at $5,150. In addition, her passenger was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct for being uncooperative and verbally confrontational. His bail was set at $150.
At 9:34 p.m., a 35-year-old woman was arrested after a traffic stop at Highway 50 and Airport Road for failure to maintain a lane. She was also arrested on suspicion of DUI-1st alcohol and using her cellphone while driving. Bail was set at $1,100.
SUNDAY
At 2:35 a.m., a 28-year-old state worker was arrested on suspicion of DUI-1st offense alcohol after a traffic stop on South Curry Street following an accident. She was also arrested on suspicion of failure to exercise due care. Bail was set at $1,100.
At 12:03 p.m., a 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after deputies were called to an apartment on William Street. The victim told deputies the woman punched her in the face. Bail was set at $3,000.
At 2:19 p.m., a 25-year-old tradesman was arrested after a deputy recognized him as someone whose drivers’ license had been suspended. He was also arrested on suspicion of no front license plate and possession of paraphernalia after empty hypodermic needles were found in the vehicle. Bail was set at $595.
MONDAY
At 12:03 a.m., a 36-year-old Carson woman was arrested after a hit and run crash at Curry and John streets. She was arrested on suspicion of hit and run, failure to report a crash, careless driving and DUI-1st offense alcohol. Bail was set at $2,150.
WEDNESDAY
• At 12:10 p.m., two people were arrested after deputies responded to a report of an altercation between two people on I-580 north of Arrowhead Drive. The arrest report says Brendan Farmer, 38, and Hannah Leeper, 21, were arguing about attending drug rehab and both had needle tracks and signs of drug use. A drug dog alerted the presence of drugs and a search of the vehicle produced several pieces of paraphernalia as well as a small quantity of methamphetamine. Each was arrested on suspicion of possession and possession of paraphernalia. Farmer was also arrested on suspicion of without a valid license. Her bail was set at $3,500. His was set at $3,600
• At 12:59 a.m., Kelly Cotroneo, 33, was arrested in the parking lot of Dotty’s Casino on William Street. The arrest report states the deputy saw him in his vehicle with tin foil and a tooter straw in his lap and a baggie in the vehicle console. He reportedly tried to hide the baggie when questioned. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics, paraphernalia and destruction of evidence since the arrest report says the deputy was unable to find the baggie. Bail was set at $6,000.
THURSDAY
• At 10:30 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after an altercation with her boyfriend at their residence on Airport Road. The arrest report says she was the primary aggressor, grabbing him by the hair while he attempted to push her away. Bail was set at $3,000.
• At 1:45 p.m, Sarah Moresi, 35, of Gardnerville was arrested in the parking lot of Gold Dust West after a traffic stop because the license plate belonged to a different vehicle. A sheriff’s K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs and a search found a methamphetamine pipe and a small baggie. She was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth and paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,500.
• At 6:08 p.m., a 65-year-old was arrested on suspicion of DUI-1st alcohol after he was reported extremely intoxicated by his daughter-in-law. The arrest report states he drove his vehicle on at least two occasions while in that condition. Bail was set at $1,000.
