August 1, 1937 - February 17, 2019

Sunday, February 17th, Manuel Cuellar Jr. left his home on earth to be with the Lord.

He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Trish, of 45 years.

Manuel was born in Fairfield, Ca and attended schools in Winters, Ca.

He served 4 years in the U.S. Army. Following Military duty he worked for U. C. Davis airport for 10 years.

From there he made the move to Nevada where he cattle ranched in Smith Valley and Minden. It was in Carson City where he met and married his wife Patricia (Trish) Faylor in 1973. They shared a combined family of six children.

In 1974 they moved to make their home in Auburn, Ca for 35 years. Manuel worked for Sacramento Coca Cola for 25 years before he and his wife retired to Carson City.

Manuel loved staying fit and was an avid walker and hiker. He never met a stranger. His love for his family and people was evident each day he lived.

He was an active member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and volunteered as one of their ‘angels’ that helped maintain the church each week.

Manuel is survived by his wife, brothers Joseph and Paul Cuellar of Sacramento, daughter, Christy Ann Harvey of Washington, Manuel Cuellar lll of Sacramento, Terry Murphy of Colfax, and extended family Ron and Todd Martin of Coeur d’ Alene, ID., eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren who he adored.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents Manuel and Joann Cuellar and step daughter Kelli Marie Elliott.

A military burial will be held in the spring of 2019.
