Carson City Board of Supervisors to hold annual workshop next week

The Board of Supervisors is holding it annual workshop on Jan. 24.

The retreat is being held at the Adams Hub for Innovation and is open to the public.

The agenda includes a status update on Carson City’s asset management program to inventory all of the city’s buildings and equipment for better maintenance planning.

Sheriff Ken Furlong and Fire Chief Sean Slamon will give a joint presentation on building and staffing needs for the city’s public safety services.

District Attorney Jason Woodbury will talk about the process for revising the city’s municipal code.

And 2019 goals for several city departments — Parks, Recreation and Open Space, Community Development, Public Works, Health and Human Services, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology — will be discussed.

The meeting starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Adams Hub, 111 W. Proctor St.
