Books, Bites and Beverages: A Literary Adventure will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9.
The event features six books and themed raffle items. An assortment of wines will be available for tasting and light refreshments will be served. This year will feature a Wine Pull which is a “drawing” for a bottle of wine. This year’s titles are:
1. The Farm Series by George A. Morrow
2. Don’t Skip Out on Me by Willy Vlautin
3. America for Beginners: A Novel by Leah Franqui
4. Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
5. Zorro by Isabel Allende
6. Searching for Pekpek: Cassowaries and Conservation in the New Guinea Rainforest by Andrew L. Mack
Books are available to check out from the library in a variety of formats if you are interested though it isn’t necessary to read them to enjoy the event. Author George Morrow will be on hand to discuss his book at the event.
This event is sponsored by the Churchill Library Association which raises funds to support a variety of library programs including the Summer Reading Program, Books for Babies! in cooperation with Banner Churchill Community Hospital, STEAM Programs, and author and artist events.
