At Pioneer High School this week, Charish Creon and Cassidy Lingenfelter started a Volleyball Club. This is the first team sports club Pioneer High School has ever had since the school was opened in 1998.
This club will be held after school in the new gym that will hopefully be finished by the end of the month. Creon and Lingenfelter organized the club, found staff advisers to volunteer, and wrote a proposal to start the club. The impressive student proposal was immediately and enthusiastically accepted by Mr. Zona, PHS and Carson Online principal.
He stated how proud of Creon and Lingenfelter he was and was encouraged to see Pioneer students taking more of an active role in adding student activities to their school. Students and staff are excited to watch the volleyball club grow as it represents another example of improvement and breaking new ground at PHS.
