Rickisha Hightower has been named interim commissioner of Nevada’s Financial Institutions Division.
She was named to replace the retired George Burns by Business and Industry Director Michael Brown.
She has been deputy commissioner since December. Prior to that she was a deputy attorney general with the Nevada Attorney General’s office representing Financial Institutions and the Mortgage Lending divisions.
Burns said a national search will be opened to permanently fill the vacancy.
