The Nevada Treasurer’s Office has identified $62,114 in unclaimed property belonging to dozens of non-profit groups in the state.

A spokesman said $20,185 has already returned to 15 organizations including Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, Special Olympics Nevada and Reno Artown.

Treasurer Zach Conine said the plan is to celebrate every Nevada Day by identifying and returning missing money and property to individuals and organizations who help make Nevada a great state.

He urged all non-profits as well as friends, family members and businesses to search the treasurer’s office to see if they have unclaimed property. Conine pointed out that in fiscal year 2019 alone, his office returned $44 million in unclaimed property to Nevadans.

To search, he said people and businesses should visit NevadaTreasurer.gov.
