GOED hosts workshop on how to do business with government

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development is hosting a workshop Friday on how to get government contracts with the Regional Transportation Commission.

The event will begin at 7:30 a.m., at the Washoe County Government Center on Ninth Street in Reno. It will last two hours.

Gov. Steve Sisolak said because small businesses employ more than 480,000 Nevadans, his administration is making it a priority to support those businesses.

The GOED Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is working with the Small Business Development Center to simplify the process of competing for government contracts.

The event is free by attendees are asked to register on line and bring a one-page document describing the company’s capabilities and business cards.
