Information sought in rash of Carson City vehicle thefts

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking for information in several vehicle burglaries in Carson City for the month of October.

On Oct. 13 several vehicle burglaries were reported in the Silver Oak area of Carson City on Turner Court, Drysdale Court and Sarratea Drive. Car windows were broken out with an unknown object. Attached is a surveillance video of a male suspect looking inside a vehicle with a flashlight.

Also on Oct. 13 additional vehicle burglaries were reported on Molly Drive in the Northridge area of Carson City.

On Oct. 8, two vehicle burglaries was reported at the park and ride on Highway 50 West of Highway 580 and farther up Highway 50 and Clear Creek Road at a trailhead. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office reminds the public to not leave valuables in their vehicles such as wallets, purses, credit card and firearms in vehicles while especially at park and rides and trailheads.
