September is national voter registration month and like her counterparts across the country, Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske is urging citizens to celebrate by registering to vote.

She said they can do that in person, on line or by mail.

“Voting is a right and privilege granted to United States citizens that should not be taken for granted,” she said.

Citizens must be at least 18 years old on or before election day and have resided in their Nevada county for at least 30 days.
