Come join “Saturday Night Live” alumni Joe Piscopo for a special dinner following a meet and greet on Oct. 5. For more than 25 years, Piscopo has proven to be one of show business’ brightest lights. In 1980, he was chosen to join a newly formed ensemble charged with one of the most difficult tasks in TV history — replacing the original cast of Saturday Night Live. He had starring roles in Hollywood hit movies such as “Wise Guys” with Danny DeVito and “Johnny Dangerously” with Michael Keaton. He’s been featured on “Law and Order.” He has a Frank Sinatra tribute known as Big Band.

For his support of the U.S. military forces, Piscopo was honored to receive the Commendation Medal, the highest civilian award from the state of New Jersey. As the spokesperson for Boys and Girls Clubs in New Jersey, Piscopo is now lending his time and talents to fundraising, public relations and advocacy on behalf of Boys and Girls Clubs. Among all his work, Joe insists his proudest moment of all is twice being named Father of the Year in 1983 and 1989 by the National Father’s Day Council in New Jersey.

The special dinner takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 5 following a meet and greet from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Barrel Room located in Alatte inside the Carson Nugget. The cost is $99 per person. Limited seats are available. Visit www.ccnugget.com for more information. Tickets will be sold at the Winners Rewards Club inside the Carson Nugget Casino and on www.tix.com.
