The case that started with the arrest of four juveniles accused of a drug-buy rip off scheme last weekend ended Friday with the arrest to the two alleged victims.

On Jan. 25, two men showed up at Carson Tahoe Hospital saying they were shot by four teenagers in an alleged drug deal rip-off. The juveniles aged 13-16 were arrested and are now in custody.

But the ongoing investigation Friday resulted in the arrest of the two alleged victims, Jacob Murray, 21, and Simeon Lopez III, 22, on charges stemming from the original case.

Murray and Lopez III are accused of conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act and sales of a controlled substance. Murray also was charged with selling marijuana to a minor, a gross misdemeanor, for allegedly trying to sell pot products to the teens accused of shooting him in the abdomen. It was unclear whether the second person, Lopez, was actually shot or pistol-whipped in the exchange.

The three male juveniles were booked into the Carson City juvenile facility. The female was sent to the juvenile facility for women in Fallon.

Of the juveniles, two were Carson City residents, one from Douglas County and one from Washoe County who recently moved to Carson City.

In addition, investigators recovered a 9-mm pistol they say was used in the crime. The investigation is ongoing, said Sheriff Ken Furlong.

Anyone with information regarding these widespread incidents is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 887-COPS(2677).
