Carson City Health and Human Services on Tuesday reported an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region.
The individual was a male Lyon County resident in his 70s.
CCHHS is also reporting 27 new cases and 13 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 12,295, with 11,635 recoveries and 225 deaths; 435 cases remain active.

Quad-County COVID-19 Vaccination Walk-In Clinic CCHHS is hosting a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Douglas County Fairgrounds (Pinenut Rd, Gardnerville) on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. There will be 400 first doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine available on a first come, first served basis. Those who previously scheduled an appointment for that date will have their appointments honored.
There are still over 2,000 appointments for Moderna COVID-19 vaccination available for this week. At this time, Moderna is authorized for use in those ages 18 and older. When booking your appointment, the date of your second dose will be provided. Please be sure you are available the date of your second dose appointment. If you will not be able to make it to your second dose appointment, please delay your first dose to a time where you will be available both dates.
