On April 19, at approximately 9:13 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol troopers responded to an injury crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on U.S. 50 and Newman Lane in Lyon County, according to a news release.
Preliminary investigation shows that a black 2016 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 approaching Newman Lane in the far-right lane. A pedestrian was walking eastbound on U.S. 50 in the eastbound far-right travel lane. The front right of the Dodge pickup struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, Jeremiah Roudabish, a 21-year-old Nevada resident, was transported via Careflight to an area hospital. He succumbed to his injuries on April 22.
This crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) - NHP Case #210401369.
