The Nevada unemployment system’s requirement that claimants look for work or participate in training goes back into effect Sunday.
That requirement was suspended during the pandemic.
On Sunday, May 2, it returns for not only regular UI claimants but Pandemic Unemployment assistance claimants as well.
A spokesman said the UI program is designed as a temporary bridge to replace wages while a worker finds another job. Claimants will be required to keep records showing they have looked for employment to continue receiving benefit checks.
