Krysta Palmer celebration set for Sunday in Minden

The Carson Valley Swim Center in Minden will host a homecoming celebration for Krysta Palmer on Sunday, Aug. 8.
Palmer, a Douglas High graduate, claimed the bronze medal in the 3-meter springboard at the Tokyo Olympics.
The Carson Valley Swim Center is located at 1600 Highway 88 in Minden. The celebration will be Sunday from 4-6 p.m.
Replays of Palmer’s historic performances will be played, according to a news release. Refreshments will be served. Masks are required to participate in this event.
Palmer was born and raised in Carson City and graduated from Douglas High in 2010 and later from University of Nevada, Reno in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
