Lyon County is investigating a number of code enforcement complaints alleging that people are living in recreational vehicles on private property or county easements/rights of way, according to a news release.
Lyon County is addressing the current investigations by providing people who are residing illegally in a recreational vehicle with a 30-day notice to cease, the release said. If the occupants do not cease residing in the recreational vehicles the case may be forwarded to the district attorney for prosecution.
Lyon County does authorize recreational vehicles to be used as a residence under the following circumstances:

They all follow the 2020 Blue Book Standards and local adopted codes.

Lyon County does not regulate the use of recreational vehicles on public lands (BLM, USFS, State Parks, NDOW, BIA, BOR, etc.)
