The Carson City School District will hold a workshop Tuesday to discuss Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds at 6 p.m. in the Robert Crowell Board Room at the Carson City Community Center.
Some of the main priorities of The U.S. Department of Education for ESSER funding is addressing learning loss through evidence-based improvements, maintaining school services and purchasing educational technology.
This workshop will allow discussion amongst school board trustees, with input from staff and the public, prior to submission of the funding application.
The district has received more than $1.1 million in ESSER I funds to be used by September 2022 and $4.4 million in ESSER II funds to be used by September 2023.
