635 freshmen at Carson High orientation Tuesday

More than 635 apprehensive but excited freshmen from the Class of 2025 joined the ranks of Carson High School Tuesday in an orientation led by administrators and school leadership teams.
Although Carson City schools officially won’t open their doors to students until Monday, Aug. 16 (K-12) and Aug. 23 (Pre-K), several meet-and-greet activities and kickoff events have begun and will continue this week.
Monday’s Senator Kick-off event welcomed back all Carson High School upperclassmen including seniors, juniors and sophomores. Students were able to get copies of their class schedules, obtain parking permits, purchase lockers and P.E. clothing and pay for yearbooks.
Other important districtwide Back-to-School dates to calendar include the following.

Aug. 11: Carson Middle School Sixth grade “Back-to-School Sneak Preview,” 4 to 6 p.m.

Aug. 12: Eagle Valley Middle School Sixth grade “Back-to-School Bootcamp,” 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Aug. 12: Carson Middle School Seventh and eighth grade “Back-to-School Sneak Preview,” 4 to 6 p.m.

Aug. 12: Eagle Valley Middle School Seventh and eighth grade “Back-to-School Bootcamp,” 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Aug. 13: Seeliger Elementary School Kindergarten Meet & Greet, 2 to 3 p.m.

Aug. 13: Empire Elementary School Meet & Greet, 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Aug. 13: Bordewich Bray Elementary School Meet & Greet/Back-to-School Night, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Aug. 13: Fremont Elementary School Back-To-School Open House and PTA Ice Cream Social, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Aug. 13: Fritsch Elementary School Back-to-School PTA Ice Cream Social, 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Aug. 19: Seeliger Elementary School Open House, 5 to 7 p.m.

Aug. 26: Empire Elementary School Back-to-School Night, 4 to 6 p.m.

Sept. 13: Carson High School Open House, 6 to 8 p.m.
