Cows at Large — A Nuisance. Somebody living in the western part of the city owns a couple of cows who are a night-walking nuisance. It seems to be the custom of the owners of these animals to turn them out at night to forage for themselves. They invade gardens and break down trees and eat up pet plants; they browse about in forbidden places…

Anti-Hoodlum Ordinance. The Board of Alderman of Virginia City have passed an ordinance which the makes it unlawful for boys under 16 years of age to be upon the streets after 8 o’clock at night, unless accompanied by their parents or guardians or unless provided with a permit from such parent or guardian. We want that kind of ordinance in Carson, and want it bad.
