A Fallon man died Friday in a single vehicle wreck in Silver Springs, according to a Nevada State Police news release.
Larry Jackson, a 73-year-old Fallon resident, was declared deceased on the scene of the rollover on U.S. Highway 50 at USA Parkway.
On Friday, at approximately 6:53 p.m., Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division, responded to a single vehicle rollover on U.S. 50 at USA Parkway (SR-439) in Silver Springs, according to the release.
Preliminary investigation shows a green 1998 Buick Skylark was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 approaching the roundabout at SR-439. For unknown reasons, Jackson allowed the Buick to leave the roadway to the right, striking a paddle marker and a light pole before overturning and coming to rest in the roadway on its roof.
This crash is being investigated by the Highway Patrol Division’s Northern Command West Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team. The case number is 211200246.
