Citing flooding and dangerous road conditions caused by snow and rainstorms across western Nevada, Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered state government offices to close early Thursday.
Only essential public safety and corrections personnel remain on the job.
The order applies to state government offices in Washoe County, Carson City and Douglas County.
He said his office along with the transportation department and public safety will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions.
