Gov. Steve Sisolak announced Monday that Terry Johnson will stay on as a member of the Gaming Control Board even though his second term expired Jan. 29.
Johnson will continue to serve until the governor is able to name appoint a replacement.
He made the decision because of the recent resignation of Sandra Douglass Morgan and appointment of Brin Gibson as her replacement plus the start of the 2021 Legislature.
“Board member Johnson will provide continuity and longtime experience as the Gaming Control Board continues to work with the gaming industry to achieve widespread vaccination against COVID-19 while also managing their regulatory responsibilities,” he said.
