Carson City held a strategic planning workshop on Feb. 27, 2020, as part of the annual Board of Supervisors’ workshop. The workshop provided an opportunity for supervisors, along with elected officials and executive staff to discuss recent accomplishments, long-term goals for Carson City, and strategic objectives for the next five years. At the workshop, attendees voted for the city's top priority objectives.
In October, the city administered an online public survey to gauge community input on the proposed goals and objectives intended to steer city operations for the next five years. Based on the information collected from the workshop and the public survey, staff drafted the 2021-25 strategic plan.
On March 4, staff will present to supervisors the draft 2021-25 strategic plan, online public survey results, and any additional public comments received on the draft plan.
