75 new COVID-19 cases reported in Quad County area in past week

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting 75 new cases and 75 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region for June 23-30.
This brings the total number of cases to 13,124, with 12,691 recoveries and 229 deaths; 204 cases remain active.

Carson City had 17 new cases and 17 additional recoveries of COVID-19 this week. The current 14-day moving average for Carson City is 2 new cases per day with a 6.6% test positivity rate.

Douglas County had 15 new cases, and 23 additional recoveries of COVID-19 this week. The current 14-day moving average for Douglas County is 1 new case per day with a 5.9% test positivity rate.

Lyon County had 40 new cases and 31 additional recoveries of COVID-19 this week. The current 14-day moving average for Lyon County is 4 new cases per day with a 9.4% test positivity rate.

Storey County had 3 new case and 4 additional recoveries of COVID-19 this week. The current 14-day moving average for Storey County is 0 new cases per day with a 9.1% test positivity rate.

 COVID-19 Vaccination Update

As of June 30, 2021, approximately 162,865 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered by Quad-County providers. CCHHS has administered 68,391 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Approximately 70,941 Quad-County residents have completed vaccination (received both doses of a 2-dose series vaccine such as Pfizer or Moderna or received the single dose Janssen vaccine) and 76,720 have initiated it (received the first dose of a 2-dose series such as Pfizer or Moderna). Data is not CCHHS’ and is taken from the Nevada Health Response Dashboard which can be found at https://nvhealthresponse.nv.gov/.

In Carson City, 27,755 residents have been completely vaccinated and 29,927 have initiated vaccination. Approximately 55.48% of the population 12 years and older have completed vaccination.

In Douglas County, 22,043 residents have been completely vaccinated and 23,490 have initiated vaccination. Approximately 49.96% of the population 12 years and older have completed vaccination.

In Lyon County, 20,517 residents have been completely vaccinated and 22,628 have initiated vaccination. Approximately 40.93% of the population 12 years and older have completed vaccination.

In Storey County, 626 residents have been completely vaccinated and 675 have initiated vaccination. Approximately 15.30% of the population 12 years and older have completed vaccination.
