The public is invited to learn about the Rotary Club of Carson City and what the members do for our community at the club’s meeting Tuesday, July 6 at noon.

The meeting and lunch take place in the Brewery Art Center’s Grand Ballroom.

Newly installed president Rich Perry will give an overview of the club’s projects for the 2021-2022 year.

“We have a lot of plans for the upcoming year, including the return of the Capital City Brewfest in August,” he said. “We are also hoping to expand our efforts in education now that the pandemic is mostly behind us”.

A planning update on the Capital City Brewfest is also on the agenda. The event is the club’s primary fundraiser. It takes place Aug. 28 in Downtown Carson City. Money raised benefits young people in Carson City through scholarships and leadership programs.

Anyone interested in attending the meeting should contact Peter Fishburn at pfishburn@charter.net. To learn more about the Rotary Club of Carson City visit www.carsonrotary.org.
