Quad County region under 200 active COVID-19 cases for week end July 7

Carson City Health and Human Services is providing the Quad-County community with a weekly update for the week starting July 1 and ending July 7, 2021.

COVID-19 Case Update
For the week, CCHHS is reporting 49 new cases and 56 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 13,173, with 12,747 recoveries and 229 deaths; 197 cases remain active.
Carson City had 14 new cases and 13 additional recoveries of COVID-19 this week. The current 14-day moving average for Carson City is 2 new cases per day with a 5.8% test positivity rate.
Douglas County had 10 new cases, and 15 additional recoveries of COVID-19 this week. The current 14-day moving average for Douglas County is 1 new case per day with a 4.8% test positivity rate.
Lyon County had 23 new cases and 26 additional recoveries of COVID-19 this week. The current 14-day moving average for Lyon County is 3 new cases per day with a 10% test positivity rate.
Storey County had 2 new cases and 2 additional recoveries of COVID-19 this week. The current 14-day moving average for Storey County is 0 new cases per day with a 18.2% test positivity rate.



COVID-19 Vaccination Update

As of July 7, 2021, approximately 164,310 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered by Quad-County providers. CCHHS has administered 68,630 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Approximately 71,615 Quad-County residents have completed vaccination (received both doses of a 2-dose series vaccine such as Pfizer or Moderna or received the single dose Janssen vaccine) and 77,553 have initiated it (received the first dose of a 2-dose series such as Pfizer or Moderna). Data is not CCHHS’ and is taken from the Nevada Health Response Dashboard which can be found at https://nvhealthresponse.nv.gov/.
In Carson City, 28,023 residents have been completely vaccinated and 30,265 have initiated vaccination. Approximately 56.01% of the population 12 years and older have completed vaccination.
In Douglas County, 22,176 residents have been completely vaccinated and 23,662 have initiated vaccination. Approximately 50.26% of the population 12 years and older have completed vaccination.
In Lyon County, 20,787 residents have been completely vaccinated and 22,943 have initiated vaccination. Approximately 41.47% of the population 12 years and older have completed vaccination.
In Storey County, 629 residents have been completely vaccinated and 683 have initiated vaccination. Approximately 15.37% of the population 12 years and older have completed vaccination.
COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics
Upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinics. Appointments are still available; a limited number of walk-ins will be accepted. Visit https://booking.appointy.com/en-US/quadcovidvaccine/bookings/service to schedule an appointment.
A vaccine clinic is scheduled from 9-10 a.m. Sunday at  St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 205 N. Minnesota St., Carson City. The Janssen (18 and older) and Pfizer (12 and older) vaccines will be available.
On July 13, from 3-4 p.m. at Fuji Park, 601 Old Clear Creek Road, another clinic will take place. The Janssen (18 and older), Pfizer (12 and older) and Moderna (18 and older) vaccines will be available.
