Carson City is asking residents to participate in their 2021 Service Enhancement Survey, an effort to better serve riders on the Jump Around Carson Transit system.
Residents are encouraged visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JAC2021RouteEnhancements to participate in the brief, 13-question survey, open until July 31.
Over the next few months, JAC plans to roll out new enhancements, including system-wide Wi-Fi and new options for electronic and contact-less fare payments for riders.
JAC has also made continual improvements throughout the COVID pandemic to ensure no lost service and provide a safe environment for transit users. Modifications have included free fares for riders, enhanced sanitation protocols, availability of no-cost face coverings, and transportation to vaccination appointments.
Because of these efforts and the commitment of JAC’s operations staff and passengers, JAC’s ridership was down just 30 percent between April and June of 2020, compared to a national decline of 70 percent over the same period. This past year of change and adaptability has prompted JAC to further explore and pursue new ways to improve service.
