Carson High boys’ golf had two selections to the 201 springs all-region golf team in Class 5A.
Lukas Taggart, a junior, led the way for the Senators with a second team all-region selection. Taggart finished tied for ninth in the regional tournament after shooting a 167 – 82-85.
Taggart’s best individual finish came in the opening tournament of the season, where he was third at Genoa Lakes.
Carson’s Thomas Burchett was awarded an honorable mention nod for his work on the course this year.
The freshman had the eighth-best day two round at regionals, shooting an 83. He finished in 17th after opening regional play with a 91 to shoot a total score of 174.
Burchett tied for fifth in a meet at Sierra Sage in early May, shooting a 79.
