The Nevada Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies will be out in force this month looking for drivers who endanger pedestrians.
But they will also be looking for pedestrians who ignore traffic rules and endanger themselves.
Both will be ticketed, according to NHP spokesperson Trooper Hannah DeGoey.
She said between 2013 and 2017, 393 pedestrians lost their lives on Nevada roadways and 789 were seriously injured.
The enforcement event will run June 7-21 with all agencies in Northern and Southern Nevada participating.
