UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Mills Park carnival stabbings

UPDATE, JUNE 5 7:30 p.m.

At approximately 7 p.m. today, 24-year-old Zachary Foore and 22-year-old Kenneth Frank were taken into custody without incident. 

Zachary Foore is charged with three counts battery with a deadly weapon and Kenneth Frank is charged with accessory to battery with a deadly weapon. 

The Carson City Sheriff's Office appreciates the assistance of Nevada Division of Investigations and the Washoe Tribal Police, along with the community’s vigilance. 

 



UPDATE, JUNE 5, 1:30 p.m.
On Friday, June 4  at about 9:49 p.m. the Carson City Sheriff’s Office responded to Mills Park to investigate a report that multiple people were involved in a fight near a carnival event.  

Witnesses also reported multiple people had been stabbed.  

Carson City Sheriff’s Office personnel arrived on scene and located three males who were suffering from multiple stab wounds.  

All three victims were transported to the Renown Medical Center, one by Care Flight, the other two were transported via ambulance.  

Witnesses reported seeing two males fleeing the scene of the stabbing.  All three victims are currently in stable condition.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Nevada Division of Investigations and the Washoe Tribal Police have identified the person suspected of stabbing three people at Mills Park as 24-year-old Zachary Foore.  

Foore may be with his friend Kenneth Frank (22 years old) who is a person of interest to this investigation and is also being sought by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

Foore has multiple tattoos to include a large “18” on his left hand, “775” and “702” on his abdomen, “Deathwish” on his right calf and an outline of the state of California with “LA” on his left chest.

Frank has “702 Vegas” tattooed on his right forearm.

If you were at the carnival on the night of the stabbing and recorded the fight, please contact the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. Anyone residing in the immediate area of Mills Park who has any type of home surveillance system, please review your video footage from about 9:45 p.m. to 11 p.m., with special attention to the 1100 block of Palo Verde Drive.

UPDATE, June 5, 11 a.m.
Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong issued the following statement via email:
(Friday) night's incident appears to be isolated and not a result of the carnival, therefore the carnival will continue to operate as planned. There are no current threats to the public as a result of this incident.
Sheriff's deputies are actively working on this investigation and there is an increased law enforcement presence in Carson City.

INITIAL STORY: 
Before 10 p.m. Carson City Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of multiple people being stabbed at the carnival at Mills Park. 
The carnival is shut down until further notice. 
Sheriff’s Deputies setup a perimeter in the area, multiple suspects are being sought. One victim is in stable condition and two others are in critical condition.
