NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS/INVITATION TO BID 

Sealed bids, subject to the conditions contained in the Contract Documents, will be received at the Churchill County Clerk’s Office, 155 North Taylor Street, Suite 110, Fallon, Nevada 89406, up to the hour and date stipulated below, after which time the bids will be publicly opened by the Owner. The name and address of the bidder, with the project name, must appear on the outside of the sealed envelope. 

PROJECT NAME: CHURCHILL COUNTY CIVIC CENTER BUILDOUT PROJECT 

PWP-CH-2021-041 

BID OPENING DATE: Wednesday, June 30, 2021. All sealed bids are due at or before 2:00 p.m., local time. 

The bids will be opened in the County Commission Chambers at the Churchill County Administrative Offices, 155 North Taylor Street, Fallon, Nevada, at approximately 2:05 p.m. of the same day. 

LOCATION OF WORK: 327 Sheckler Road Street, Fallon, Nevada 89406. 

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project is to complete the buildout of the Churchill County Civic Center currently under construction. The work includes interior framing, sheetrock, painting, masonry, bathroom partitions and accessories, interior trim and door, interior insulation, bathroom tile, rubber base in bathrooms/concessions, counter tops, cabinets and shelving for the building and roof drain tie-ins, column masonry and furring of electrical conduit for the pavilion. 

A MANDATORY pre-bid walk through for General Contractors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at the site. 

CONTRACT TIME IS ONE HUNDRED (100) CALENDAR DAYS. 

Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders on the Bid Proposal Form furnished in the Specifications Manual and accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of FIVE PER CENT (5%) of the total amount of the bid, made payable to Churchill County, using the form AIA Document A310, Bid Bond. 

The successful bidder will be required to furnish, at his own expense, a Labor and Materials Bond in an amount not less than ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) of the contracted price and a Performance Bond in an amount not less than ONE HUNDRED PER CENT (100%) of the contracted price. A non-refundable deposit of $20.00 will be charged to log into the plan room to obtain each set of Plans and Contract Documents. 

General Contractors, Subcontractors and/or others desiring to bid on this work shall be licensed for this type of work and qualified by the Nevada State Contractor’s Board before bidding the job. Other qualification requirements included in the Project Manual shall be adhered to. 

This project is funded by Churchill County and is subject to all applicable regulations for Public Works projects, including Churchill County Ordinances and the Nevada Revised Statutes. Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to this project. Compliance with the State of Nevada Labor Commissioner Apprenticeship Utilization Act (SB207) is required. 

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder will be judged based on price; conformance to Specifications; bidder qualifications; including bidder’s past performance in such matters; quality and quantity of services, supplies, materials or equipment offered; ability to perform the work within the time period specified; adaptability to the required purpose; and such matters in the best interest of the public; each of such factors being considered.
