The Lodge, an assisted living facility at 2200 E. Long St., in Carson City, will host the Longest Day Bake Sale on Friday, June 18 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Organizers are seeking donated gift baskets that will be raffled as prizes or purchased, and wrapped baked goods (they cannot accept home-baked items). Donations are asked to be delivered Thursday, June 17, by 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and, ultimately, all proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, according to a news release. Cash donations will be accepted for Moose Tracks and raffle tickets Friday. When making an online donation, organizers ask that you include your name rather than anonymous. Your name and donation amount will serve as your receipt for raffle tickets and Moose Track purchases, according to the release.
