Free Friday Night Movie Series Movies in the park, sponsored by Berkshire Hathaway and the Carson City Cinema Club, are back for the summer. They’ll kick off the series with a free viewing of “Field of Dreams” on the Western Nevada College baseball field, Friday at 8:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs. BMX weekend races Carson City BMX will be holding qualifying races Saturday and Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Spectators are welcome to come watch at the Edmonds Sports Complex on 1555 Livermore Ln. Those looking to race can register before the race at 9 a.m. Racers will need a USA BMX membership. Bike and outdoor gear swap Muscle Powered, a local nonprofit, will host a gear swap at the Brewery Arts Center, Saturday from 8-11 a.m. Vendors will be selling used bikes and spare parts, hiking gear, and outdoor equipment (no used helmets or weaponry allowed). Bret Sarnquist, the swap organizer, said that he’s looking forward to helping people find affordable outdoor gear.
Weekly Farmers Market The Farmers Market will be at 412 N Stewart St. from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come out for fresh produce, handmade arts and crafts, and last-minute Father’s Day gift ideas.
Father’s Day Free Ride and BBQ Battle Born Harley Davidson is hosting a Bikes and BBQ cruise this Father’s Day.
