The Fallon Merchants Association invite entries from individuals, businesses, groups and organizations for this year’s Fourth of July parade.
Applications must be turned in no later than Wednesday.

Since the holiday falls on Sunday, the parade will be held on July 3. This year’s theme is “Baseball, Apple Pie & 4th of July,” and the awards will be handed out for Best Use of Theme, Best Youth, Best Civic/Non-Profit Group, Best Business Entry, Best Mounted Individual, Best Mounted Group, Best Farm Equipment, Best Ag, Best Automobile, Best Military, Most Patriotic, Fallon Merchants Association Choice and People’s Choice.
Parade winners and prizes will be awarded at 2:45 p.m. at the Green Goddess Farmers Market next to the Churchill Arts Council. The market runs from 3-8 p.m.
Parade forms may be picked at the Fallon Chamber of Commerce and either dropped off at His Inspirations on 200B South Maine Street, mailed to P.O. The Churchill Republican Women meet Monday at 5:30 p.m. in room 102 at the Churchill County Administration Building, 155 N. Taylor St.

Churchill County vaccination, testing schedule 
Vaccines available to anyone aged 12 and older
Churchill County’s COVID vaccine and testing dates for the remainder of June are now posted.
Those 18 and older may receive the free Moderna, Pfizer or Janssen vaccine and those ages 12-17 will receive the Pfizer vaccine.
• Wednesday — Vaccines and testing from 1-5:30 p.m.; rapid tests from 3-4 p.m.
• Thursday — Vaccines from 1-6 p.m. No testing.
• Friday — Vaccines by appointment only; call (775)423-6695, option 2 to schedule. No testing.
• June 28 – Vaccines and testing by appointment only; call (775)423-6695, option 2 to schedule.
• June 29 – Vaccines and testing from 1-5:30 p.m.; rapid tests from 3-4 p.m.
• June 30 – Vaccines and testing from 1-5:30 p.m.; rapid tests from 3-4 p.m.
All vaccines and testing are conducted at the Churchill County Public Health Drive-Through site off Miners Road, just south of the county fairgrounds. Follow the signage and enter the fairgrounds via Miner’s Road off Hwy 95 South.
First and second doses available on all vaccine dates. Drive-through, no appointment needed except as noted above. Bring a photo ID. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bring your vaccination card to your second dose and refer to it to see when you are eligible for your second dose. You are able to get your second dose any time after its due date, but are not eligible to get it before the due date, per the CDC.
If you or someone you know is homebound, or cannot access the vaccine site for whatever reason, call 775-423-6695, option 2 to discuss alternative options.
Print and fill out the “COVID-19 Questionnaire” and “Pre-Vaccination Checklist” forms and bring them with you to the vaccine site. The forms will also be available at the vaccine site.
