Carson City Sheriff’s Office and Partnership Carson City remind businesses to be diligent in checking identification to ensure those purchasing alcohol are 21 years of age or older. Partnership Carson City, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office and School Resource Officers offer a Responsible Beverage Server Training course for anyone who sells and/or serves alcohol, tobacco, or marijuana products in Carson City. The next Responsible Beverage Server Training course takes place Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The cost is $20. The course is open to anyone who would like to learn about Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) in Carson City and is conducted at the Partnership Carson City office at 1925 N. Carson St.
Per the Nevada Revised Statuses 4.13.170, anyone who sells or serves alcohol is legally required to complete the training. The webinar includes alcohol awareness and reviews the Carson City laws for selling or serving liquor, marijuana, and tobacco as well as how to spot a fake ID and how to be aware of the levels of impairment.
