Two Carson City inmates are being sought after escaping from the Carson City Jail on Saturday evening. The two men escaped about 7 p.m. on Saturday. Matthew Marizza, 27, and Cody Abernathy, 28, were last seen on the east side of Carson City near the river late Saturday night. Marizza was last seen wearing a tan shirt, tan pants and white shoes. He is 5-feet 11-inches tall with shaved brown hair, brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos including "775" and "Pray for me" tattooed on the right side of his face and a rose on the left side of his face. He also has a tattoo of a woman's face on his neck. His last known address is in Sparks.

Marizza was arrested on May 8 on grand larceny charges. Abernathy was last seen wearing a tan shirt, tan pants and red shoes. He is about 6-foot tall and 185 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a black skull with a gas mask tattoo on his right hand, a red and black cross on his right forearm and a black star of his left forearm. His last known address was in Gardnerville. Abernathy was arrested in early June on multiple drug charges and weapons charges. Anyone with information about their whereabouts, is asked to call 9-1-1 and not contact with either of the men because they're considered dangerous.
