The Oasis Academy boys golf team made its first-ever regional appearance last week when the team finished third at the Carson Valley Golf Course in Gardnerville.
Junior Trevor Halloran placed fourth overall as an individual.

Girls lacrosse advances to playoffs
After defeating Bishop Manogue on the road last Monday in a non-standings contest, Oasis Academy’s girls lacrosse team dropped a 16-15 overtime thriller to the Miners on Thursday.
The Bighorns, who defeated Spanish Springs on Friday, finished the season in a three-way tie for first with Manogue and Galena. Oasis Academy handed Galena its only loss while the Grizzlies defeated Manogue. The first meeting between Oasis Academy and Manogue did not count toward the standings, resulting in Galena winning the tiebreaker and No. 1 seed for this week’s High Sierra Lacrosse tournament. Manogue finished as No. 2 and hosted No. 3 Oasis Academy on Monday in the semifinal. The championship is Wednesday at Manogue.
Boys lacrosse drops pair to Reno schools
The Bighorns boys lacrosse team finished the season with a pair of losses to the top teams in the High Sierra Lacrosse League.
Oasis Academy lost to Galena, 17-2, on Monday in Fallon before dropping a 20-3 decision at Reno to finish 4-7.
Seniors Sam Robertson and David Adams each scored against Galena. Robertson scored twice against the Huskies and senior Matthew Caitlin had one goal.
