The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
MONDAY
• At 3:37 p.m., Jennifer Daugherty, 44, was detained after her mother texted deputies saying Daugherty was on her way to kill another woman. She was arrested in her vehicle near the potential victim’s residence and charged with aggravated stalking. She was also charged with possession of a small amount of meth found in the vehicle. Bail was set at $27,500.
• At 3:44 p.m., Donald Layba, 29, was arrested on a felony DUI alcohol charge after deputies were called to the area of South Carson Street for a report of some one failing to maintain a lane and falling asleep while driving. He was charged with the felony because it was his third arrest. Bail was set at $20,000.
• At 10:10 p.m., a 24-year-old was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging contempt after a deputy recognized him walking across the Nugget parking lot. Bail was set at $3,000.
WEDNESDAY
• At 1 a.m., a 35-year-old Reno man was arrested after a witness told dispatch he was following a vehicle driving without headlights near I-580 and Arrowhead. The arrest report says the vehicle was driving the wrong way on I-580. As the deputy passed it, the vehicle made a U-turn at the Koontz exit. The deputy continued north on the freeway and again saw the Jeep entering the freeway, again heading the wrong direction. When the deputy caught up with the Jeep, it was at Fairview and South Carson Street. The report says when the deputy turned on lights and siren, the Jeep made a U-turn again to go the other way. The arrest report says he refused to participate in any sobriety tests. He was charged with DUI 1st alcohol, eluding with endangerment, reckless driving and no headlights on. Bail was set at $21,550.
• At 7:57 p.m., Shane Donovan, 32, was arrested on a charge of attempted vehicle burglary after deputies responded to Curry Street for a report of a person brandishing a weapon. He fled the scene and was arrested after attempting to enter multiple vehicles at a dealership lot. No weapon was found. Bail was set at $20,000.
• At 11:14 p.m., a 43-year-old Dayton woman was arrested after a traffic stop on College Parkway. She was charged with driving on a suspended license, broken tail lights and a warrant from East Fork Township Justice Court. Bail was set at $1,165.
THURSDAY
• At 12:44 a.m., Jessie Shinkle, 32, was arrested after admitting to a deputy he had a small amount of meth on his person. He was also held on two P&P violation charges. He was held without bail.
