Fallon’s lone runner in the 3A state cross country championship ended her career with a 19th-place finish.
Senior Savanna Regli completed the 5K course at Shadow Mountain in Sparks in 22 minutes, 55 seconds on a cold and windy Saturday afternoon.
Lowry’s Jovi Kuskie won the individual race with a time of 20:17.
Regli, who also plays drums for the marching band, will be back in the spring when she runs long distance for the track team.

SOCCER
The Lady Wave’s dream season ended abruptly after leading the 3A West’s second-best team at intermission.
Fallon led South Tahoe 1-0 at the break, but the Vikings came back with three goals in the second half to end Fallon’s season, 3-1, in the Northern 3A regional quarterfinal Thursday at Lowry High School in Winnemucca. South Tahoe upset East No. 1 Spring Creek, 1-0, in the semifinals before knocking off West No. 1 Truckee, 2-0, to win the regional title. South Tahoe and Truckee will compete in this week’s state tournament in Las Vegas.

VOLLEYBALL
The Oasis Academy volleyball team qualified for the postseason, but it was short lived.
The Bighorns (2-6) ended the regular season as the No. 6 seed and faced No. 3 Coleville last Monday in the 1A West quarterfinals. Coleville, though, ended Oasis Academy’s season with a 25-10, 25-14 and 25-11 win.
